In the 19th Century American Art auction, the work A Venetian Canal sold for USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,467.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Frederick Blum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venetian Gondoliers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 924,053.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Frederick Blum erzielte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century American Art wurde die Arbeit A Venetian Canal für USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.467,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Frederick Blum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venetian Gondoliers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 924.053,70).
