Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les deux frères by Robert Doisneau was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,715.00 (€ 5,407.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Doisneau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,139.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les deux frères von Robert Doisneau wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.715,00 (€ 5.407,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Doisneau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.139,09).
