Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Leave Your Name and Fax Number by Robert Crumb. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,788.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Crumb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vulture Goddess in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
