Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Colquhoun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2014. In the Made In Britain auction, the work Man Selling Marmot Skins sold for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 38,038.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Colquhoun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Two Sisters, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 102,000.00 (€ 149,850.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Colquhoun erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made In Britain wurde die Arbeit Man Selling Marmot Skins für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 38.038,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Colquhoun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Two Sisters beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 102.000,00 (€ 149.850,89) versteigert wurde.
