Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Il Ponte held the auction Fotografia, which included the work Israel, immigrants arriving in Haifa 1948-1950 by Robert Capa. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 350.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Capa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Death of a Loyalist Soldier in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 134,586.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Fotografia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Israel, immigrants arriving in Haifa 1948-1950 von Robert Capa zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 350,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Capa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Death of a Loyalist Soldier im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 134.586,72).
