Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Model for Well, 1974 by Robert Arneson was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 6,120.00 (€ 6,255.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Arneson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audio Visual in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Model for Well, 1974 von Robert Arneson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 6.255,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Arneson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audio Visual im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87).
