Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rob Pruitt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September last year. In the New Now auction, the work Suicide Painting XXXIV sold for USD 56,700.00 (€ 57,957.68) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rob Pruitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 6:20Pm, Late Summer in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 315,000.00 (€ 242,531.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rob Pruitt erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Suicide Painting XXXIV für USD 56.700,00 (€ 57.957,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rob Pruitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 6:20Pm, Late Summer im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.000,00 (€ 242.531,57).
