Conceived in 1908, this example cast before 1952. An agreement between the artist (and then his widow) and the Galerie Giroux provided for an edition of twelve. Ten examples have been identified, including three in museums.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Attitude by Rik Wouters was sold in the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2018. The price achieved of EUR 87,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rik Wouters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,210,000.00 (€ 1,367,506.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Attitude von Rik Wouters wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 87.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rik Wouters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme En Forêt, Chapeau Bleu À La Main, Bras Levé im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.210.000,00 (€ 1.367.506,21).
