Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work I am Angry by Rieko Sakurai for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,267.91). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 240,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Rieko Sakurai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dots Girl in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 54,952.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit I am Angry von Rieko Sakurai für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.267,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 240.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rieko Sakurai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dots Girl im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 54.952,92).
