Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bowery by Rick Amor was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 3,346.00 (€ 2,012.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rick Amor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Evening By The Sea in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 90,000.00 (€ 53,817.90).

Die Arbeit The Bowery von Rick Amor kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 3.346,00 (€ 2.012,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rick Amor erzielen.
