This work of art by Richard Westall could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Nicolette Wernick Collection British Watercolours and Paintings (1800-1950) auction, the work Head of a young man changed hands for GBP 275.00 (€ 334.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Westall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Faust and Lilith in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,138.59).
