Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Eloisa by Richard Westall was sold in the Important British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,500.00 (€ 9,101.68). Admittedly, works by Richard Westall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Faust and Lilith in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,138.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Eloisa von Richard Westall wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Important British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.500,00 (€ 9.101,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Westall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Faust and Lilith im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 68.138,59).
