Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Monogram 56.5 x 56cm (22 1/4 x 22 in). by Richard Smith. The price achieved of GBP 614.40 (€ 711.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tip Top in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 131,250.00 (€ 149,469.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monogram 56.5 x 56cm (22 1/4 x 22 in). von Richard Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 614,40 (€ 711,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tip Top im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.250,00 (€ 149.469,26).
