Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Train Wreck and Large Stella #1 by Richard Pettibone. The price achieved of USD 52,920.00 (€ 48,675.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pettibone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol, "Saturday Disaster," 1964; Train Wreck; Jasper Johns, "Flag On Orange Field," 1957; Andy Warhol, "Double Elvis," 1963 (Two Times); Roy Lichtenstein, "We Rose Up Slowly," 1964; Frank Stella, "Tomlinson Court Park" 1959; Andy Warhol, "Larg in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 688,000.00 (€ 5
