This artwork by Richard McLean achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in December 2018. In the No Reserve Prints and Multiples Holiday Online Sale auction, the work Dixie Coast, 1980 sold for USD 687.50 (€ 600.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard McLean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Rider II with Border Collie in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 47,648.86).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard McLean erzielen.
