Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann Evening Sale, which included the work Boy with Machine by Richard Lindner. The price achieved of USD 315,000.00 (€ 293,542.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Lindner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stranger N°1 - 1958, which sold at auction in December 2016 for EUR 802,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boy with Machine von Richard Lindner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 315.000,00 (€ 293.542,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Lindner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stranger N°1 - 1958 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 802.600,00 versteigert wurde.
