Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow, White And Grey by Richard Lin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 3,250,000.00 (€ 356,081.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,600,000.00 – 4,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Lin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work January 1967, which sold at auction in September 2018 for HKD 7,670,000.00 (€ 844,082.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellow, White And Grey von Richard Lin kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.250.000,00 (€ 356.081,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.600.000,00 – 4.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Lin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit January 1967 beobachtet, die im September 2018 für HKD 7.670.000,00 (€ 844.082,77) versteigert wurde.
