Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work All Grey by Richard Lin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 822,000.00 (€ 97,589.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Richard Lin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work January 1967 in September 2018 with an auction result of HKD 7,670,000.00 (€ 844,082.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit All Grey von Richard Lin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 822.000,00 (€ 97.589,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Lin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit January 1967 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.670.000,00 (€ 844.082,77).
