Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A young beauty playing the guitar by Richard Geiger. It changed hands for a price of GBP 660.00 (€ 957.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Geiger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concerto nel bosco in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 12,250,000.00 (€ 11,010.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young beauty playing the guitar von Richard Geiger zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 957,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Geiger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concerto nel bosco im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 12.250.000,00 (€ 11.010,00).
