A top price for Richard Geiger - as previously expected
In December 2001 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Concerto nel bosco by Richard Geiger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of ITL 12,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of ITL 12,250,000.00 (€ 11,010.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Concerto nel bosco is the most expensive artwork by Richard Geiger that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Concerto nel bosco von Richard Geiger zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von ITL 12.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von ITL 12.250.000,00 (€ 11.010,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Concerto nel bosco das teuerste Kunstwerk von Richard Geiger, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
