The work Portrait Of A Young Boy by Richard Cosway was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,391.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Cosway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,207.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Boy von Richard Cosway kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.391,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Cosway erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 89.207,10).
