The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,391.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Cosway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,207.10).
