This artwork by Richard Cosway achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady In The Guise Of Hebe, Circa 1790 sold for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Cosway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,207.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Cosway erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady In The Guise Of Hebe, Circa 1790 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.954,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Cosway erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 89.207,10).
