Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kiss by Richard Billingham was sold in the Contemporary Art | London auction at Sothebys in London in August 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,467.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Billingham achieve.
