Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The sporting sweep by Richard Barrett Davis was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 776.75 (€ 1,156.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Barrett Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British sir Roger De Coverly And His Hounds in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,208.99).

Die Arbeit The sporting sweep von Richard Barrett Davis kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 1.156,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Barrett Davis erzielen.
