Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,352.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Barrett Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British sir Roger De Coverly And His Hounds, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,208.99).
