Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Before the hunt; Full cry; and The master's solicitude by Richard Barrett Davis was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in July 2012. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,194.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Barrett Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British sir Roger De Coverly And His Hounds in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,208.99).
