The work Study of A Weeping Willow by Reynolds Stone was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 420.00 (€ 622.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Admittedly, works by Reynolds Stone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Buildings in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,624.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study of A Weeping Willow von Reynolds Stone kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 622,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reynolds Stone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Buildings im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.624,99).
