A top price for Reynolds Stone - as previously expected
In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Old Buildings by Reynolds Stone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,624.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Old Buildings is the most expensive artwork by Reynolds Stone that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Old Buildings von Reynolds Stone zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.624,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Old Buildings das teuerste Kunstwerk von Reynolds Stone, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
