The work Piccadilly Circus by René Daniels was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2013. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Daniels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eindelijk in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 241,580.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Piccadilly Circus von René Daniels wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Daniels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eindelijk im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 241.580,60).
