This artwork by Ren Xun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Flowers of the four seasons sold for USD 27,812.50 (€ 25,072.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ren Xun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Phoenix, which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 68,338.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Xun erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Flowers of the four seasons für USD 27.812,50 (€ 25.072,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ren Xun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Phoenix beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 68.338,71) versteigert wurde.
