Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scholar by Ren Xiong was sold in the Asian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in April 2021. It achieved a price of AUD 1,476.00 (€ 1,226.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scholar von Ren Xiong wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Asian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 1.476,00 (€ 1.226,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27).
