Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ren Xiong could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in September 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III auction, the work Rooster And Lily By A Fence changed hands for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,607.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Xiong konnte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III wechselte die Arbeit Rooster And Lily By A Fence für USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.607,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
