Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ren Xiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Scholar Resting On Rock sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,149.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Xiong erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Scholar Resting On Rock für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.149,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27).
