Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ren Xiong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Autumn Blossoms sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ren Xiong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Xiong erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Autumn Blossoms für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 900.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27) versteigert wurde.
