In the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work View of Castel di Poggio, Tuscany sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,193.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Remigio Cantagallina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View Of The Countryside Around The Village Of Pratieghi, With An Artist Sketching In The Foreground sold at auction in January 2013 with the realized price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,563.60).
