Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A View From The Outskirts Of Florence, With A Couple Washing Their Linen In The Foreground by Remigio Cantagallina was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,146.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Remigio Cantagallina - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of The Countryside Around The Village Of Pratieghi, With An Artist Sketching In The Foreground, which sold at auction in January 2013 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,563.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A View From The Outskirts Of Florence, With A Couple Washing Their Linen In The Foreground von Remigio Cantagallina im Juli 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.146,63) den Besitzer.
