Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Raymond Mason achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Element in the Crowd sold for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,133.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Mason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of St Mark'S Place, East Village, New York City As Seen Through The Window Of The Village East Coffee Shop in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 60,750.00.

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Element in the Crowd für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.133,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Mason erzielen.
