Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red Carpet - 3 by Rashid Rana was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 80,500.00 (€ 102,786.87). Admittedly, works by Rashid Rana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veil #6 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Red Carpet - 3 von Rashid Rana wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 80.500,00 (€ 102.786,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rashid Rana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veil #6 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79).
