The work Red Carpet - 2 by Rashid Rana was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. It achieved a price of USD 161,000.00 (€ 125,624.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rashid Rana - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veil #6, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).

Die Arbeit Red Carpet - 2 von Rashid Rana kam im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 125.624,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Rashid Rana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Veil #6 beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79) versteigert wurde.
