Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rashid Rana achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2008. In the Indian Art auction, the work Re-Ornamented I sold for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 37,270.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rashid Rana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veil #6 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rashid Rana erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indian Art wurde die Arbeit Re-Ornamented I für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 37.270,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rashid Rana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veil #6 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79).
