Auction result well in line with expectations
The work NAA AND NII by Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 6,018.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bestander in March last year with an auction result of USD 35,280.00 (€ 31,803.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit NAA AND NII von Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 6.018,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bestander im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 31.803,84).
