Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne could be acquired at Phillips in London in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,534.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bestander, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 35,280.00 (€ 31,803.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.534,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raphael Adjetey Adjei Mayne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bestander beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 35.280,00 (€ 31.803,84) versteigert wurde.
