Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Wild Horses In A Landscape by Raoul Millais. The price achieved of GBP 9,750.00 (€ 12,148.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Raoul Millais have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Two Horses With Grooms And A Spaniel In A Landscape was auctioned for USD 27,400.00 (€ 17,600.21).

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wild Horses In A Landscape von Raoul Millais zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.750,00 (€ 12.148,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Raoul Millais konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2008 die Arbeit Two Horses With Grooms And A Spaniel In A Landscape für USD 27.400,00 (€ 17.600,21) versteigert.
