Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Floating Nude), from the book 'The Somnambulist' by Ralph Gibson was sold in the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,393.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Gibson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Works, 1970 - 1997 in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,899.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Floating Nude), from the book 'The Somnambulist' von Ralph Gibson wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.393,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Gibson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Works, 1970 - 1997 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.899,19).
