Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Contemporary Art & Belgian Art Online, which included the work Sans titre by Ralph Gibson. The price achieved of EUR 1,024.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Gibson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Works, 1970 - 1997 in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,899.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Contemporary Art & Belgian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Ralph Gibson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.024,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Gibson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Works, 1970 - 1997 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.899,19).
