Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ralph Eugene Meatyard could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Constant Pursuit: Photographs from the Collection of Ed Cohen & Victoria Shaw auction, the work Lucybelle Crater and Lucybelle Crater changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,618.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ralph Eugene Meatyard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, (Flag - derelict interior with Christopher), 1960, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 33,600.00 (€ 24,597.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
