Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Happy Birthday, LOV, C.S.R.) by Ralph Cahoon for USD 637.50 (€ 525.34). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Design | Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Cahoon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Luck of the Sailfish Club in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 96,000.00 (€ 73,857.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Happy Birthday, LOV, C.S.R.) von Ralph Cahoon für USD 637,50 (€ 525,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Design | Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Cahoon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Luck of the Sailfish Club im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 96.000,00 (€ 73.857,52).
