Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Morning In The White Mountains by Ralph Albert Blakelock for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,758.57). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Albert Blakelock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).
