This artwork by Ralph Albert Blakelock achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2008. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Moonlight sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Albert Blakelock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ralph Albert Blakelock erzielte im September 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Moonlight für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Albert Blakelock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilly Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 193.287,25).
