Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Spanish Flirtation by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 137,000.00 (€ 100,439.88). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pierrette, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 281,000.00 (€ 331,133.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish Flirtation von Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 137.000,00 (€ 100.439,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pierrette beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 281.000,00 (€ 331.133,63) versteigert wurde.
